Grading Guidelines

PLAGIARISM AND ACADEMIC HONESTY ARE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY BY UCSB AND ALL INSTRUCTORS.

PLAGIARISM AND ACADEMIC DISHONESTY RESULT IN SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES AND CAN LEAD TO FAILURE OF THIS COURSE.

DON'T DO IT. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING IT.

TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: PLAGIARISM IS THE PRACTICE OF TAKING SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK OR IDEAS AND PASSING THEM OFF AS YOUR OWN. THIS INCLUDES JUST A SINGLE THOUGHT, PARAGRAPH, OR SENTENCE. IF YOU DRAW ON SOMEONE'S ELSE'S IDEA OR WORDS, YOU MUST CITE THEM IN A FOOTNOTE.
